Printed Safety Vests – A How to Guide

Screen Printed Safety Vests

Safety vests play a crucial role in ensuring worker visibility and safety, especially in high-risk environments like construction sites, warehouses, and roadwork zones. Adding a print name or company logo to a safety vest works well for company branding, job roles, and safety messages. These vests not only improve visibility but also help in quick identification of team members, enhancing both safety and efficiency on the job. Use our how to guide to start your next order.

Benefits of Printed Safety Vests

Firstly, screen printed safety vests offer numerous advantages. They allow companies to prominently display their logos, which not only promotes brand identity but also fosters a sense of professionalism and team unity among workers. Custom text and graphics indicate job roles, departments, or specific safety instructions, making it easier to manage large teams and ensuring that everyone is aware of their responsibilities. Furthermore, these vests are durable and maintain their vibrant appearance even after multiple washes. This makes them a cost-effective solution for long-term use.

Safety Vest Styles for Printing

Also, add your custom screen print logo to most popular safety vest styles. This includes ANSI-rated options for men and women from brands like Kishigo, Radians, PIP, and Pyramex. Surveyor vests, with their multiple pockets, provide ample space for customization while serving those who need to carry tools and documents. Two-tone vests, featuring contrasting hi-vis colors, offer increased visibility and a stylish appearance, perfect for high-traffic areas. Breakaway vests prioritize safety with quick-release points that prevent snagging hazards.

Furthermore, black bottom vests hide dirt and grime and maintain a cleaner look for longer wear. High-visibility yellow/lime and orange vests ensure maximum visibility in low-light conditions. This is crucial for nighttime or dimly lit environments. Solid vests offer a durable, sleek surface for logo printing, while mesh styles provide breathability and comfort, ideal for warmer climates. Each style accommodates custom printing, making them versatile choices for various industries.

The Printing Process

Our printing process provides low-cost and professional looking results for your next logo project. It involves transferring a design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink, and a squeegee. Here’s a breakdown of the steps:

Design Creation

  • Choose Your Design: Ensure your artwork or design is in a clear, high-resolution file. Examples of optimal “camera ready” files are vector EPS or vector PDF.
  • An artwork fee is added if our graphic artists need to make your logo.
  • Choose your Color and Quantities
  • We offer up to six colors per logo when screen printing, but you can only order up to four colors online.
  • Plus, select from over 20+ screen printing ink colors, including PMS color matching for an additional fee.
  • Our pricing for printing is tiered, meaning the cost is lower on larger orders.
  • There are no setup fees with this customization type.
  • After you decide on your garment type and customization details, place your order online or over the phone with one of our helpful customer service team members. Our skilled art department will assist in creating a free proof you will see prior to the order going into production.

Production Phase

Next, once you receive the logo proof from our art department and approve it, your order will go into a que for production. We process each order on a first come, first served basis, with the option for paid rushes. Our printing process starts by passing ink through a screen onto the fabric. We create our screens using ultraviolet light to form the desired design. Once the ink is transferred onto the safety vest or other garment, it is sent through a heater to cure. This heater is set to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, but can vary based on the garment.

Applications in Various Industries

Finally, printed safety vests are ideal for a variety of industries. In construction, they enhance visibility and allow for easy identification of different trades and roles on-site. In warehouses, printed vests help in quickly identifying supervisors, forklift operators, and safety personnel. Also, event organizers use them to distinguish staff from attendees, ensuring smooth operations. Customized vests benefit municipal workers and road crews by improving their visibility to motorists and clearly communicating their roles.

Conclusion

In conclusion, investing in printed safety vests not only enhances workplace safety but also promotes a professional image and improves team coordination. By understanding the printing process and its benefits, businesses can make informed decisions about their safety gear. This ensures their workers remain safe and easily identifiable. Customizable and durable, printed safety vests are an essential component of any comprehensive workplace safety strategy.
